The 658 Iron builds on the extremely successful 422 iron. It is a players cavity back iron with classic looks, blunted edges, a 4-way camber sole, and a consistent hosel offset. These are cast from 304 stainless, a softer stainless steel than the 422. This is done to appeal to those good players who like a "forged" feel in a cast iron head.
In the face area of these clubs the weight distribution was changed from the even distribution of the 422 heads, to a variable face thickness - with a hump on the center of the face to enhance the solid feel at impact. The finish is a high gloss mirror, with a metal medallion in the cavity.
