Although there rarely is any innovation in wedges today as most just have a classic blade shape that was popular decades ago, the Acer XC truly is different. It does have a nice thin topline, limited offset, and that "blade-style" appearance that golfers like, but the real difference is in the weighting (which you can't see in the address position). The undercut channel redistributes material so that there's more weight lower and more weight rearward, making for a higher trajectory and better spin to hold greens better. (Legal) square grooves offer maximum spin and control on approach shots to and around the greens. The Acer XC wedges really can give golfers of all abilities "tour level" quality with game improvement features to boot!
