Hybrids are easier to hit, but the Acer XDS Wide Sole Hybrid design will astonish you! Unlike typical hybrids which are based on iron profiles, the XDS Wide Sole Hybrid is designed around fairway wood parameters that allow for super high launch characteristics. This set gradually decreases the volume or size of the head as the loft is increased (and less help is usually needed). The rearward center-of-gravity of this hybrid design is enhanced by the rails at the soleplate to help you power through the grass and prevent digging at impact for better quality contact with the ball. We’ve had quite a few requests for a solid chipping club here at Value Golf, and we finally found one that we like. The Acer XK Chipper combines the loft of an 8-iron with the weight and lie of a putter. The ultrawide contoured sole glides across either the rough or the close cropped apron surrounding the green. Gooseneck, over-the-hosel design increases the effective face area and eliminates the possibility of shanking the ball like with an iron. The perfect short game weapon!
